Deser 5th October
Good Sunday web surfers!!
This was a long weekend here in the desert. This because yesterday
morning we received the news via VHF that a French woman
has began herself the crossing last Monday. The difference between
the two "walkers" are that the French has began from Purni
Bore (70 k's after the starting point of Carla); that she is walking
unloaded (only a small ruck sack with water and food for lunch)
and that she is meeting her support jeep every night.
In any case this news was able to shock the agonistic molecule that
is inside of Carla that decided to grow the daily ks up to 25. (
just to let you know since today Carla has
made 270 ks). All this is demonstrate that Carla's mood is good
and give us a good feeling (crossing all the fingers we have) a
good hope for the end of this fifth crossing. In the last two days
Carla has got in touch with two unusual travel mates: a dingo (
that is showing only its tracks and stays ahead her) and a hawk
that perhaps attracted from the solar panel that hangs from Ferrino
made ruck sack has flewn no more that 5/6 meter above her head.
For tonight Carla decided to settle the camp near
Poeppel Corner where the borders of three australian states meet
(South Australia, Queensland and Northern Territories). As usual
wait for our next report where we will be able to give you an approximate
arrival date for Carla.
See yaa!!!
