ITINERARY:
This trip is reserved for the nature and marine environment lovers. The objective is to have a close observation of one of the most fascinating animal of the sea: the Great White Shark (Carcharodon Carcharias).
With a specialized boat and crew, you will reach an area in Mossel Bay where the sharks are usually passing.
Big containers filled with fish products are dipped into the water to attract the sharks, and when they approach the boat, it is possible to photograph them from the deck of the boat or from an underwater cage fixed to the boat.
The amazing sensation of meeting such of powerful predator is unforgettable. Mossel Bay, is a tourist town located about 400 kilometers east of Cape Town. In this town, Sharks are not the only attraction. In July and August, you can also observe the mating of the whales, and all year round there are seals that live on a small island just few minutes from the bay.
The water rarely exceeds 21 degrees and the best times to see the sharks is from July to November.
